5052 aluminum tube manufacturers offer round, square, and rectangular tubes. Round tubes range from φ6–φ200mm in outer diameter and 1–20mm in wall thickness. The mainstream supply states are O, H112, and H32, with a standard length of 6 meters. Custom cutting and non-standard customization are also supported.

Regarding the selection of 5052 aluminum tubes in the O, H32, and H112 states, the core difference lies in the balance between plasticity and strength, adapting to different processing scenarios.

The O state is a fully annealed soft state with an elongation rate exceeding 25%. Internal residual stress is completely eliminated, resulting in optimal plasticity. It is suitable for small-radius coils, complex multi-dimensional bending, and large deformation processes such as oil tank expansion and flanging. Under proper processing, it is less prone to cracking and wrinkling, making it the first choice for complex corrosion-resistant components. However, its strength is relatively low, limiting its load-bearing capacity after forming.

H32 is a 1/4 hardened state, cold-worked and stabilized, with a tensile strength of approximately 230-280 MPa. It balances strength and ductility, supporting both conventional 90° bends and light stamping, while offering stronger deformation resistance than the O-state. It also exhibits low springback after forming, making dimensional accuracy easy to control. It is suitable for applications such as equipment covers and pipe supports that balance formability and light load-bearing.

H112 is a hot-extruded state, retaining the natural state after extrusion. It requires no additional heat treatment, resulting in lower cost. While its strength is slightly higher than the O-state, its ductility is generally lower. It is only suitable for conventional anti-corrosion pipes and static frames that require direct cutting and do not involve complex deformation, offering excellent cost-effectiveness.

Regarding anodizing, 5052 aluminum pipes can undergo both ordinary and hard anodizing. The resulting film effectively improves corrosion resistance and surface hardness, meeting industrial anti-corrosion requirements, but its decorative properties are weaker than 6063. Because 5052 aluminum alloy has a high magnesium content, magnesium can affect the crystallization of the oxide film during oxidation, resulting in a matte finish, a grayish-white base color, and insufficient uniformity and vibrancy in coloring, making it difficult to achieve high-gloss, high-saturation color effects. 6063 alloy has a purer composition, a denser and brighter oxide film, more uniform and stable coloring, and significant decorative advantages. For corrosion protection, 5052 is perfectly adequate; for aesthetic purposes, 6063 is the preferred choice.

Is 5052 aluminum tubing reliable for fuel tanks and hydraulic hoses?

Absolutely, it's a core application scenario. 5052 is resistant to gasoline, diesel, and hydraulic oil corrosion, with no risk of intergranular corrosion. After welding, the weld seam has good sealing and is leak-proof. Combined with expansion and flanging processes, leak-free connections can be achieved. It is the mainstream material for vehicle fuel tanks, marine oil pipes, and energy storage liquid cooling pipelines, and will not leak due to oil corrosion during long-term use.
