Theoretical Weight Calculation Formula for Round Tubes: Weight per meter (kg/m) = (Outer Diameter − Wall Thickness) × Wall Thickness × 0.02466, where outer diameter and wall thickness are in mm, and the constant is fixed at 0.02466.
Example: Round tube with an outer diameter of 60mm and a wall thickness of 3.5mm; (60−3.5)×3.5×0.02466≈4.88 kg/m
Theoretical Weight Calculation Formula for Square Tubes: Weight per meter (kg/m) = (Side Length − Wall Thickness) × 4 × Wall Thickness × 0.00785; where side length and wall thickness are in mm, and the constant is fixed at 0.00785.
Example: Square tube 40×40mm, wall thickness 2.0mm; (40−2)×4×2×0.00785=2.3kg/m
