1060 Aluminum Square Tube

1060 Aluminum Square Tube is lightweight, making it easy to handle and install. Its production cost is affordable, and it is recyclable. However, its structural strength is relatively weak, making it unsuitable for heavy-duty applications. It is commonly used in indoor and outdoor decorative frames, billboard supports, simple railings, ventilation duct fittings, and is also widely used in the manufacture of electrical conductive components, heat dissipation profiles, kitchenware accessories, and lightweight equipment housings.

1060 is high-purity aluminum with a dense protective oxide film. It exhibits good corrosion resistance in normal atmospheric conditions, dry indoor environments, and ordinary rainy environments, resisting rust and oxidation. It can be used long-term in humid outdoor environments and weakly acidic or alkaline environments; however, it is not resistant to seawater, strong acids and alkalis, or severe salt spray corrosion. Compared to 3003 rust-resistant aluminum, its corrosion resistance is weaker and far inferior to 5083; however, it is superior to ordinary steel and can be used stably in daily decoration, ventilation, and light outdoor applications.

Indoor dry environment: 25-30 years with virtually no aging or corrosion under normal use.

Ordinary outdoor exposure to sun and rain: 15-20 years.

Coastal salt spray and high humidity areas: lifespan reduced to 8-12 years.

Acid and alkali corrosive environments: only 3-5 years. After oxidation and spray coating surface treatment, the overall lifespan can be increased by about 40%.
