How to Judge the Quality of Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel Coils:

1. Examine the surface: The surface should be flat, free of wavy edges, dents, scratches, black spots, and rust. The color should be uniform. 2B sheets should have a smooth, non-grayish, and non-rough surface with no oxidation or peeling.

2. Check the thickness tolerance: High-quality rolls have uniform thickness, meeting national standards with minimal negative tolerance; inferior rolls have uneven thickness, with some areas being thinner, making them prone to cracking and deformation when bent.

3. Check the material purity: Authentic rolls come with original manufacturer's warranty certificates and can be analyzed using spectral analysis; counterfeit and recycled rolls have substandard nickel-chromium content and are prone to rusting later.

4. Check the hardness and formability: Good cold-rolled rolls have uniform annealing, good toughness, and do not crack or spring back when bent or stamped; inferior rolls have inconsistent hardness, making them prone to cracking and peeling during processing.

5. Check the edge quality: Roll edges are smooth, without burrs, serrations, or cracks; substandard products have many burrs on the edges, making them prone to scratches and cracks after slitting.

6. Check the lamination and packaging: Authentic rolls have tight lamination without bulging, and the packaging is neat and moisture-proof; inferior rolls have thin lamination that easily peels off, making them susceptible to moisture and rusting during storage.

7. Corrosion resistance tests can be conducted using salt spray or chemical solutions. Genuine 304 and 316L stainless steel are stable in corrosion resistance; inferior counterfeit rolls will discolor and rust in a short time.
