15crmo Seamless Steel Pipe

Seamless steel pipe manufacturers maintain a large inventory covering all specifications with outer diameters from φ32 to φ426mm and wall thicknesses from 4 to 40mm. For extra-large diameters and extra-thick wall special specifications (φ530 and above), custom rolling can be arranged with steel mills. 15CrMo seamless steel pipe belongs to the pearlitic low-alloy heat-resistant seamless steel pipe category, with a carbon content of approximately 0.15%. Chromium and molybdenum are the core alloying elements, making it an alloy pipe material specifically designed for medium-temperature and medium-pressure applications. It is graded into ordinary structural grade and boiler-specific grade (15CrMoG, suffix G indicating boiler steel). The mainstream standards are GB/T 5310 "Seamless Steel Tubes for High-Pressure Boilers," GB/T 6479 "Seamless Steel Tubes for High-Pressure Fertilizer Equipment," and GB/T 8162 "Seamless Steel Tubes for Structural Use," primarily targeting high-temperature and pressure-bearing applications in power, petrochemical, and thermal industries.

What is the maximum temperature resistance of 15CrMo seamless pipe? What pressure can it withstand?

The long-term stable service temperature does not exceed 550℃, and the short-term peak temperature can withstand 580℃. Exceeding the temperature will accelerate oxidation and performance degradation. Pressure resistance is positively correlated with pipe diameter, wall thickness, and design temperature. Standard specifications can withstand pressures of 10~32MPa at room temperature. For medium-temperature conditions, pressure ratings can be accurately matched through wall thickness calculations.


Can 15CrMo transport hydrogen-containing and sulfur-containing media? How is its corrosion resistance?

The core advantage of 15CrMo is its resistance to hydrogen corrosion, making it the mainstream material for medium-temperature and high-pressure hydrogenation units and hydrogen-containing oil transportation, with no risk of hydrogen embrittlement cracking. It has a certain degree of resistance to low-concentration sulfides, but for high-sulfur and highly corrosive conditions, it is recommended to upgrade to stainless steel pipes or perform internal anti-corrosion treatment.
