Plastic-Coated Carbon Steel Pipes

Plastic-coated carbon steel pipes are the common name for plastic-coated steel pipe; both refer to the same type of pipe, just with different emphases. "Plastic-coated steel pipe" is the industry-standard abbreviation, while "plastic-coated carbon steel pipe" emphasizes that the base material is carbon steel (including Q235B welded carbon steel pipe, 20# seamless carbon steel pipe, etc.).

Processing Technology Flow:

For plastic-coated carbon steel pipes, manufacturers first select Q235B welded pipes and 20# seamless pipes as base pipes. After straightening and cutting to length, they are shot-blasted or sandblasted to remove rust to the national standard Sa2.5 grade. Then, they are preheated to 180℃-220℃ using medium-frequency induction heating, and epoxy or polyethylene powder is sprayed using high-pressure electrostatic spraying, controlling the coating thickness to 0.3mm-1.2mm. Subsequently, they are placed in a curing oven and cured at 200℃-240℃ for 10-20 minutes. After cooling, the pipe ends are ground and chamfered. Threading, beveling, and welding flanges can also be done as needed. Finally, after multiple tests including coating adhesion, pressure resistance, and pinhole detection, qualified pipes are sorted, bundled, and packaged. Export orders undergo additional fumigation and moisture-proof treatment before shipment.
