1060 Aluminum Rod

1060 aluminum rods (industrial pure aluminum, aluminum content ≥99.6%) are non-heat-treated strengthening alloys. The leading Chinese factory primarily supplies them in the O temper (annealed) and H series work-hardened states, with a small quantity in the F temper (free-machining state) and H112/H111 temper (hot-worked state).

1060 aluminum rods are high-purity industrial pure aluminum with an aluminum content exceeding 99.6%. They possess excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and outstanding resistance to atmospheric corrosion. The material exhibits excellent plasticity, allowing for easy and convenient bending, stamping, and welding, resulting in a smooth and clean surface. This material is lightweight but has relatively low overall strength, making it suitable for various light-load applications. With its high cost-effectiveness and stable overall performance, it is widely used in electrical conductive components, heat dissipation components, chemical corrosion-resistant parts, decorative profiles, and various stamped products.

Main Supply Conditions and Characteristics

State

Full Name

Processing Methods

Core Performance

Typical Applications

O

Annealed State

Fully annealed and softened

Softest, excellent plasticity (elongation 25%-40%), lowest strength (60-95MPa)

Bending, stretching, deep drawing, and welding parts requiring complex forming

H12/H22

1/4 Hard State

Lightly cold-worked / Hardened + partially annealed

Medium strength (90-110MPa), good plasticity

General stamping parts and decorative parts requiring slight deformation

H14/H24

Semi-Hard State

Mediumly cold-worked / Hardened + partially annealed

High strength (95-130MPa), can be bent at 90° without cracking

Nameplates, battery connectors, automotive heat shields

H16/H26

3/4 Hard State

Heavier cold-worked / Hardened + partially annealed

High strength, moderate plasticity

Stamping parts with certain strength requirements

H18

Fully Hard State

Fully cold-worked

Highest strength (130-150MPa), lowest plasticity

High-strength, low-deformation structural parts

F

Free Machining State

Directly processed without special treatment

Performance fluctuates with processing technology

General machined parts for applications with low performance requirements

H111/H112

Hot Working State

Natural state after hot extrusion / hot rolling

Retains hot-worked structure, stable performance

Large structural parts and profiles requiring no further deformation

Key Points for Aluminum Rod Manufacturer's Recommendation on Condition Selection

1. Forming Difficulty: Choose O temper for complex forming, H14/H24 for simple bending, and H18 for no deformation requirements.

2. Strength Requirements: Strength increasing order is O < H12 < H14 < H16 < H18.

3. Processing Method: O temper is preferred for welded parts; any H series temper can be selected for machined parts.

1060 aluminum rods do not have T series heat treatment tempers (non-heat-treatable strengthened alloys). Performance is controlled through cold working + annealing processes in all tempers.
