1010 Aluminum Rod

1100 belongs to the industrial pure aluminum rod category (national standard pure aluminum series), formerly grade L4, with an aluminum content ≥99.00%. It cannot be strengthened through heat treatment and is the most widely used general-purpose pure aluminum profile. It is frequently used in conductive components, power busbars, heat dissipation parts, chemical corrosion-resistant equipment, decorative profiles, kitchenware components, nameplates, stamped and drawn parts, packaging accessories, and other applications requiring light loads and a focus on corrosion resistance and electrical and thermal conductivity.

Key Performance Characteristics

1. Extremely Strong Corrosion Resistance: Pure aluminum easily forms a dense oxide film on its surface, resisting atmospheric corrosion, rainwater, and weak acid and alkali corrosion. Its rust prevention ability is far superior to 2-series and 6-series aluminum alloys.

2. Excellent Plasticity: It is not prone to cracking during bending, stretching, stamping, and cold bending, making it extremely easy to form and process.

3. Excellent Electrical and Thermal Conductivity: Its electrical and thermal conductivity is excellent, second only to pure copper, making it a commonly used conductive and heat-dissipating substrate.

4. Relatively Low Mechanical Strength: Its overall hardness and tensile strength are not high, making it unsuitable for heavy-duty and high-strength load-bearing structures.

5. Good Weldability: It can be used in various welding processes, with excellent weld sealing and stability; its machinability is average.
